Happy December.  Here are the notes from the December 2 meeting.

Rotarian Sue Halambeck presented about the Triangle Ministry that is located in the Madison neighborhood bordered by Regent, W Washington and Park streets.  This area includes subsidized apartments and housing.  87% of the residents are challenged with a chronic health condition and the average annual income is $9,948 per person.  The Ministry provides a parish nurse who can help residents find community resources and monitor the needs of the residents.  There is also a community chaplain and outreach staff.  The goal of the Ministry is to help build a community that includes spiritual, health and advocacy support.  They are managed by the Community Development Authority and have an annual budget of $73,200.  They are currently serving 350 people in this area and can benefit from volunteer and community financial support. Some of their programs also include a food pantry, art program, women's health education and event and an annual ethnic fest in August.
