This week's highlights:

  • Mark you calendar for: Tuesday, May 13 at 6:00 p.m. for the Group  social at Buck and Honey's in Sun Prairie.  This will be NO morning meeting on May 13.  
  • SPICE breakfast with the 5th graders will be the Tuesday meeting on May 27.  An abbreviated regular meeting will start at 8:10 a.m. and the kids will be arriving by 8:30. Please try to attend if you can, it an important morning for these kids.  
  • Please get your service above self award nominations to Tom Hebl.  If you have a candidate but don't know all the details about their involvement in community service, get Tom their contact information and he will call them for more information.
  • Don't forget to bring your Date Night contribution for the district basket that will be donated for the silent auction to benefit polio plus. Next Tuesday is the last day to contribute.
  • Reminder, if you signed up to volunteer at the Sunshine Place breakfast on Sunday, Apr 7, please arrive by 8:30.  

Our speaker was Mike Ripp, the Youth Protection Officer for District 6250. Mike demonstrated a new online tutorial  Rotarian who would like to take the youth protection training.  Protection of youth and foreign students is important and this website can guide you through the steps to be trained in youth protection.  Did you know 90% of abuse is committed by a person known to the victim?  Rotary has a zero tolerance for abuse.  For more information or how to register for the training, contact Mike at mlr.ripp@gmail.com.
