National Life Changer of the Year Award

Sandra Kowalczyk, Reading Specialist and Go Global Club Advisor at Patrick Marsh Middle School was one of 20 invited attendees from the U.S. attending Qudwa 2017 Global Teachers' Forum, October 7 and 8, at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Qudwa, Arabic for “role model”, attracted more than 900 teachers, principals, policymakers and authors from 80 countries to discuss latest global trends in empowering teachers and inspiring students. 

In 2015, Kowalczyk was recognized as a Varkey Global Teacher Prize Top 50 Finalist worldwide. She serves as a Varkey Teacher Ambassador (VTA), granting her opportunities to collaborate with her VTA colleagues at Qudwa Global Teachers' Forum and Global Education & Skills Forum in Dubai, UAE which serve as incubators for new ideas and approaches to teaching, which will spread throughout the expanding community of global educators.
