Pancake Breakfast - Winter Fest 2017

Our club is working with the Lions Club to host a Pancake Breakfast on Feb 4 and 5 as part of the Winter Fest at Angell Park. A lot of you were able to sign up to work a shift (or 2) this morning at the meeting but I thought I'd catch those that weren't at the meeting.

The shifts will be 6-9am and 9am -12 both days. We would love to have a good showing of Rotarians to work along side the Lions Club. Also, you can bring a friend or family member with you. Please email me if you can help or if you have questions.

Please look for an article in The Star regarding the events of Winter Fest!
Looking for a Host Family
We are looking for a 3rd host family to host our Rotary Youth Exchange Student from France.  If you know of anyone living in the Sun Prairie School District area who would be an awesome host family, please contact us.  The host family would have our student for 4 months, between April - July 2017.

Hosting can be a very rewarding experience for your family.  Check out this video on what other host parents have to say about it:  CLICK HERE

Patrick Marsh Snowshoe and Bonfire
Join Natural Heritage Land Trust for an evening snowshoe and bonfire at Patrick Marsh. We will bring the marshmallows, you bring your friends!

Saturday, February 11, 2017
Afternoon: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Where: Stein Road, Sun Pairie, WI -- Right of of Hwy 151 in Sun Prairie. Take Columbus Street to Stone Quarry Road. There is a parking lot for Patrick Marsh on Stein Road parking lot at the end of the gravel road (map). This is where we will park/meet.

Who: FREE and open to members and others

What: One hour snowshoe along family-friendly walking trails.

What to Bring: Please bring appropriate clothing, water and snowshoes if there is deep snow.

Hiking and snowshoeing at dusk, a roaring bonfire, roasted marshmallows and warm refreshments await you at our first winter hike and bonfire at Patrick Marsh east of Sun Prairie. Traverse 1.5 miles of trails, with a warm beverage and snacks to be enjoyed at the end. If there is little or no snow cover, the event will be a hike instead of a snowshoe. Don't miss this opportunity to visit a place you've helped protect and enhance and meet other Natural Heritage Land Trust supporters who share your commitment to conservation where you live.
