Did you know that when you are scheduled to bring a speaker, you are also expected to bring a gift around $10 in value? The $10 gift goes to the raffle winner each week. Many members have "forgot" or some member may have never known this. To keep our tradition alive, please bring in a $10 gift the week you are scheduled for a speaker.

Sun Prairie Rotary initiated the Sun Prairie's Service Above Self Awards in 2001. Criteria utilizes Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self and the Four Way Test. Rotary’s motto, Service above Self exemplifies the humanitarian spirit of the organization’s members. Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful community and international service projects characterize Rotary worldwide. Rotarian’s nominate individuals in the community who exemplify the principles. The last few years we have nominated one high school student.

Technology can be a great escape, but it can also make it more difficult to see and hear those around us. Try unplugging from technology this week and looking more toward the community around you. Whether it's being present in a conversation by ignoring your phone or choosing to not wear headphones while walking somewhere, find ways to connect with the people in front of you.
