Hard to believe we are almost in June!  We had a good meeting this week with the SPICE kids and Rotarians gathering for breakfast and recognition of the 5th graders.  Tshirts, hats and a messenger bag were raffled and the ultimate prize winner was Ayanna Calhoun from Creekside when her name was drawn for the Trek 3500 bike.

Be sure to attend the meeting on Tuesday when the Service Above Self awards will be presented.  We will have a bigger group and, therefore, in need of a couple extra greeters for next Tuesday.  Please let Laura know at ljennings@colonialclub.org  if you are able to arrive a few minutes earlier (around 6:55 a.m.) to help greet our guests and members.

Reminders:

  • If you have your speaker scheduled, please forward the information to Laura to be added to the homepage on clubrunner
  • The Golf tournament is fast approaching on June 19 and Carl and his committee are in need of sponsors and raffle prizes.  PLEASE let Carl know if your business would like to donate a prize for the raffle. You can also bring items, cash or gift cards to the next two meetings that will be used in the raffle.
  • Would anyone  be willing to be the contact for the Taste of Madison beer tent on Saturday of Labor Day weekend?  Laura will be out of town that week and unable to coordinate but willing to help with the pre planning.  Please let Laura know if you can help.
  • Orfan Park has been reserved for the Rotary Annual picnic on Tuesday, July 1.  This will take the place of the morning meeting and will start the new Rotary year with president Laurie Krueger.

As always, thank you for your commitment and all the good work that you do for Rotary, our community and internationally.  The world is a better place because of it!  Have a great weekend and see you on Tuesday.
