On December 30th Carol and Lee Heisz were involved in a serious car accident while on their way home from visiting family for the holidays. Lee unfortunately did not survive the crash, Carol was taken via medflight to a trauma center in Joplin, Missouri. She suffered a spinal injury and will require extensive surgeries, eventual medical transport back home to Wisconsin and a long, difficult recovery as a parapalegic. Please consider helping Carol and their two devoted children, Jordan and Cameron navigate this difficult and trying financial responsibility. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Just a quick update on how Carol is doing. Yesterday she had surgery to fuse the vertebrae. That was a success. But she is, and will remain paralyzed from her stomach on down.

She has some fractures in her neck that will heal on their own in time. The facial fractures appear to was also broken but they believe they will not require surgery unless something changes. She was able to get off the ventilator this afternoon that was placed during surgery and she is awake, alert and in good spirits.

Thank you to everyone that posted pictures on Facebook wearing something purple in support of her. If you haven't, please do!
Thank you again for all the love, support and donations, we are truly humbled.
