SUN PRAIRIE, WIS. — April 21, 2017— Each year, the last Friday of April is designated as Arbor Day in Wisconsin. Arbor Day is a holiday dedicated to the encouragement of individuals and groups to plant, and care for, trees. In honor of Arbor Day 2018 and of two of its members, Laura Jennings and Rose Freidel, the Rotary Club of Sun Prairie is donating two trees to the City of Sun Prairie. On Tuesday, May 1st at 8:30 AM, City employees and members of the Rotary Club of Sun Prairie will plant the donated trees at Orfan Park.

“I would like to thank the Rotary Club for continuing the tradition of planting trees in our community parks. Trees contribute to making our parks aesthetically pleasing, environmentally-friendly, and enjoyable for our residents.” – Aaron Oppenheimer, City Administrator
